Wins Grand Prize in Next-Generation Regenerative Medicine Technology Innovation at the 2025 Korea Trusted Innovation Awards

REV-MED (CEO: Edward BG Shin) has been awarded the Grand Prize in the Next-Generation Regenerative Medicine Technology Innovation category at the 2025 Korea Trusted Innovation Awards, organized by JoongAng Ilbo and Forbes Korea.

The award recognizes REV-MED’s technological innovations aimed at addressing one of the most significant challenges in regenerative medicine: transforming procedural variability and outcome unpredictability into a more standardized and reliable clinical process.

REV-MED’s innovation began with its patented Triple-Chamber Biologics Separation System, designed to support the separation and concentration of biologically active cellular components while minimizing external contamination. The system incorporates a dual-spin centrifugation process intended to provide greater procedural consistency and reproducibility.

Building upon this foundation, the company focused on another important unmet need in clinical practice: healthcare worker safety. Through the development of the NovaStem platform, REV-MED introduced a needleless processing approach utilizing the internationally recognized Luer-lock connection system, reducing the risk of needlestick-related injuries and enhancing procedural safety.

The company reports that its continued focus on safety and process optimization has also contributed to improvements in cellular processing performance. According to REV-MED, the NovaStem BMAC platform demonstrated increased levels of CFU-F (Colony-Forming Unit-Fibroblast), a commonly used indicator of mesenchymal progenitor cell activity, while the DuoCell SVF platform showed notable increases in vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-related parameters.

Beyond biologics processing systems, REV-MED has expanded its portfolio to include energy-based technologies such as Hilthera 4.0, a high-power laser platform, and ReWave, an ultra-high-frequency microwave-based aesthetic device. Together, these technologies form part of the company’s integrated approach to non-surgical regenerative and aesthetic solutions.

The company also noted that recent regulatory developments, including amendments to Korea’s Advanced Regenerative Medicine Act, as well as growing demand for premium regenerative and aesthetic procedures, are creating new opportunities for advanced biologics-based technologies. REV-MED is currently pursuing additional next-generation platforms, including technologies designed to support the efficient concentration of autologous extracellular vesicle and regenerative signaling components.
