[Beyond Post, Reporter Kim Shin] Bio-specialist company REV-MED participated in the 2024 Korean Society of Obesity and Aesthetic Medicine Autumn Conference (KOAT) held on the 13th at COEX, Seoul. REV-MED highlighted the excellence of its product, NovaStem, gaining recognition domestically as well as internationally.
KOAT's autumn conference featured a wide range of lectures on the latest trends in skin aesthetics and obesity management. Topics included anti-aging treatments, skin boosters, lifting techniques, and, notably, the rapidly growing field of stem cell therapies.
REV-MED presented NovaStem, a minimally manipulated biological device developed with proprietary technology and protected by numerous domestic and international patents. A representative explained, "The NovaStem kit concentrates autologous cells from the blood, enabling its application to a wide range of conditions with minimal risk of immune rejection, making it highly effective in aesthetic procedures."
Dr. Gunwoo Kim, a speaker in the stem cell session, emphasized the importance of the condition of the blood cells used in procedures involving stem cells and immune cells like NK cells. He highlighted that markers such as NLR significantly impact the outcomes of such treatments, according to REV-MED’s insights.
Furthermore, NovaStem is being developed as a platform to support collaborative research and lectures with expert participation, aiming to globalize Korean technological expertise in this field.
