
REV-MED Launches Global Multicenter Metaverse Research Platform ‘NovaStem’ at Korean Society of Aesthetic and Obesity Dermatology Spring Conference
[Culture News = Reporter Sun-Hye Park] On April 28, the Spring Academic Conference of the Korean Society of Aesthetic and Obesity Dermatology (KSAOD) was held at E Hall, COEX. This event marked the largest post-COVID gathering, with approximately 1,800 attendees filling the venue.
REV-MED unveiled its global multicenter metaverse research platform, NovaStem, during the conference.
Purpose and Vision of NovaStem
A REV-MED representative explained, “NovaStem is a global multicenter metaverse research platform designed to address the challenges clinics face in conducting research compared to university-based infrastructures. It consolidates diverse clinical research into a unified platform to enhance the credibility of outcomes.”
They added, “This service aims to advance collaborative global multicenter research on stem cell therapies, bringing us closer to overcoming diseases.”
Academic Focus on Stem Cell Therapy
The conference featured various sessions on stem cell therapy, following the February amendment to the Advanced Regenerative Medicine and Advanced Biopharmaceutical Safety and Support Act (ARMBSSA). Topics ranged from reviews of the revised act to discussions on the potential of stem cell therapies as alternatives in the autoimmune disease treatment market, receiving acclaim from attendees.
Vice President Kyung-Hee Choi of the KSAOD stated, “We organized diverse lectures to explore the present and future of stem cell therapy for its wider adoption. The packed lecture halls reflect the keen interest in this field.”
NovaStem's Research Contribution
REV-MED has already utilized NovaStem for research, publishing the paper Protective Effects of BCC Against Oxidative Stress in Cardiomyocyte Cells in the Biomedical Science Letters (BSL) journal on March 31, 2024.
