MEDICEL announced on the 30th that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with REV-MED on the 29th to collaborate on the joint marketing of bio and medical devices.
Under this MOU, MEDICEL and REV-MED aim to diversify their business portfolios through joint development and marketing of various medical devices. MEDICEL expects to leverage its global sales network to help REV-MED expand revenues and strengthen its R&D capabilities.
MEDICEL is a leading domestic company in the spinal implant sector, conducting business globally through its subsidiaries in the United States and Chile. REV-MED specializes in developing bio-kits for autologous stem cell extraction and medical laser devices.
Notably, MEDICEL was acquired by Dong Wha Pharm in 2020 as part of its entry into the medical device sector. Han Jong-Hyun, who took office as MEDICEL's CEO in April, also serves as the CEO of Dong Wha Pharm.
